CNA Training Recruitment Session — Tuesday, September 8

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Workforce Solutions Alamo, Medical Center area

The healthcare on-ramp for people without a degree. Certified nursing assistant training is how you get a hospital badge in the Medical Center, and from there the ladder runs through LVN and RN roles at Methodist, University Health, Baptist and Christus Santa Rosa. Career Ready Workshop: Group Mock Interviews — Wednesday, September 16

Not a hiring event, a practice round, and it lands the day before the biggest fair on this list. If you have been out of the market a while and the thought of a panel interview turns your stomach, this is a low-stakes place to get the reps in. San Antonio Career Fair — Thursday, September 17

The American GI Forum has been doing veteran employment work in San Antonio for decades, and this monthly fair is one of the steadiest recruiting events in the city. With JCB, Toyota and now IEM all building out on the South Side and at Brooks, a manufacturing-specific fair on South Flores is where the pipeline for those plants starts filling. Production associates, machine operators, welders, assemblers, forklift and inventory roles. If you want a Bexar County production floor job in the next year, be in that room.

Veterans In Automotive Career Event — Wednesday, October 21

1:00 – 6:00 p.m. | Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland

Dealership groups and automotive employers recruiting transitioning service members and veterans, free for job seekers. This one is on base, so plan for access requirements and contact the organizer ahead of time about a visitor pass. Do not roll up to the gate at 12:55 hoping it works out.
