SAN ANTONIO, TX — Military City USA gets what organizers call the area's largest veterans hiring event on Monday, November 9, when Workforce Solutions Alamo brings the 15th annual Hiring Red, White & You! to the Boeing Center at Tech Port on the Southwest Side. Veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses get the floor to themselves from 9 to 10 a.m. At 10, the doors open to every job seeker in town.

One morning, one room, invited employers only, and a first hour reserved for the military community. Register ahead, print the ticket, and bring a resume.

San Antonio did not earn the Military City USA nickname by accident. Joint Base San Antonio stretches across Fort Sam Houston, Lackland and Randolph, and a steady stream of airmen, soldiers and medics is always working out what civilian work looks like. Hiring Red, White & You! is the statewide answer to that question, held each fall by workforce boards across Texas.

The partner list is heavyweight: the Texas Workforce Commission, the Texas Veterans Commission, the Texas Medical Center, the Governor's Office and the state's 28 local workforce boards. The venue fits the theme, too. Tech Port sits on the grounds of Port San Antonio, the old Kelly Air Force Base, now a campus of aerospace, defense and tech employers just off U.S. 90.

⚠️ Read This Before You Go

The first hour is not for everyone. From 9 to 10 a.m., the room belongs to veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses. Everyone else should plan to arrive at 10.
No ticket, no entry. The organizer asks every attendee to show an Eventbrite ticket, printed or on a phone.
