What Macy's Announced, and What It Didn't

In its September 24 holiday hiring announcement, Macy's, Inc. said it is filling seasonal part-time jobs at its Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Bluemercury stores, with in-store hiring events on three Thursdays: September 24, October 22 and November 19. Event times vary by location.

Here's the straight version. San Antonio is not on the company's list of top hiring markets, which in Texas names only Houston for Macy's stores. Macy's also has not published a headcount for San Antonio or a national total. So treat October 22 as an open door at your local store, not a promise of a set number of jobs.

🗺️ San Antonio Macy's Stores

Pick the store closest to home. A short commute matters during Black Friday week closing shifts.

The Shops at La Cantera: 15900 La Cantera Pkwy., Bldg. 16, San Antonio, TX 78256, (210) 332-4800
North Star Mall: 7400 San Pedro Ave., Ste. 200, San Antonio, TX 78216, (210) 340-4200
Ingram Park Mall: 6301 NW Loop 410, Ste. E, San Antonio, TX 78238, (210) 647-2400

South Side job seekers, one more note. Macy's still lists its South Park Mall store on SW Military Drive, but news reports this year disagree about whether that location is on the company's closure list. Call (210) 334-2000 before you make the drive.

💵 What It Pays and What Comes With It

Macy's says every job posting lists its pay range, so you see the number before you apply. The company lists colleague discounts, 401(k) savings, access to earned wages before payday and an employee assistance program among its benefits, with medical, dental and vision coverage available based on eligibility.
